The first step to developing a successful career search strategy is to understand your own goals and skills.  To help you identify these, consider taking a career assessment or personality test.

Once you have a firm understanding of your skills and the direction you’d like to go, you can begin to identify some potential employers whose culture aligns with your ideals by researching companies

  • attend career fairs and information sessions
  • land the interview
  • don't forget to follow-up

Remember, the career development journey is a process -- it's okay to realize that the current path is not right for you.  You always have time to shift your focus and realign your strategy.
