As you prepare to take the next step in your educational journey, review the important deadlines and the steps to complete your application based on your status below.
Penn State's rolling application opens each year on August 1. It is highly recommended that you complete your application by the priority deadline of November 30. Admission becomes more competitive after this date. Make sure your application is complete by this priority deadline for the best chance of admission to your first-choice campus and program.
Students can apply through the Undergraduate Admissions website, as well as through the Common Application and the Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success. Follow the steps to apply to submit your application for admission.
Note that we are not currently accepting transfer students to any of our undergraduate degree programs at the University Park campus. We reassess our resources annually to determine our capacity to admit transfer students, so please visit the Undergraduate Admissions’ Transfer page for the most up-to-date information.
Applications for graduate admission are available each fall. The final deadline for graduate applications, including test scores, recommendation letters and supplemental application materials, is December 15. Review the Graduate Degree Bulletin and Graduate School admissions process before applying.
