The IBM Co-Op program is designed to empower exceptional talent by providing immersive learning experiences, mentorship, and meaningful growth opportunities, ultimately creating a direct pathway into entry-level IBM Sales and Consulting roles after graduation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 -2 years until graduation at Penn State (graduating May 2028 or later)
  • STEM focus (Colleges of IST, Engineering, or Smeal College of Business)
  • Interested in an IBM Consulting or Sales role post graduation
  • Desired hard skills: AI, Machine Learning, Developer/programming skills Package Consultants, Business Transformation Consultants, Data Scientists, Data Engineers
  • Soft skills: Communication, business skills, presentation, growth mindset

  • Next Cohort begins May 24, 2027
  • Program length: 1 - 2 years
  • All positions are HYBRID
  • Co-Ops positions are paid hourly
  • Co-Ops hours:
    • Up to 40 per week during school breaks
    • Up to 20 per week during school
