This is a great workshop for you. Drop in to learn about how to become a new full-time professional, what to expect, and how to prepare.

During this information session, participants will be provided with specific information that will prepare them for Federal interviews. We will cover preparing for and participating in a structured interview.

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Interested in finding a job or internship across town or around the world?

  • Learn how to connect your career objectives with hiring opportunities by identifying key employers and industry contacts for informational interviews and professional networking.
  • Get a realistic understanding of work permit and visa requirements, financial considerations and other prime factors critical to career success in a new location.
  • Identify American employers seeking to hire international professionals for their U.S. operations through H-1B visa petitions - and learn how to connect this information to current job opportunities.

The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the Smeal Student Council are hosting professional headshots for all Penn State students. This opportunity is FREE to students but you must register for a specific time slot. Mask wearing and social distancing will be required.

1:00 pm - 5:30 pm

The IST Alumni Hackathon is a virtual daylong technology workshop for both alumni and students to showcase their self-expression and creativity through technology. Panelists will come together to host a series of workshops that will dive into the GitHub platform and will teach participants how to create a free personal branded website!

They will also learn more about Liberty Mutual's TechStart Summer Internship Program, hear from professionals, partake in a 1:1 mentorship with a member of Liberty’s Women in Tech affinity group, and more! Participants are guaranteed to interview for a spot in the 2022 TechStart Internship Program.
