Kelley Cotter to present at DE&I In Tech Summit

Kelley Cotter, assistant professor in the Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology, will present a session at the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s 2025 DE&I In Tech Summit. The event will take place on March 19 at Penn State Harrisburg. 

Cotter will lead “The Power of Algorithmic Literacy: Creating Fairer, Bias-Free AI Systems,” which explores the growing need for critical algorithmic literacy to address bias and promote fairness in artificial intelligence. 

According to the event website, participants will learn about diverse ways of knowing algorithms and AI and the practices and dispositions that enable anyone to challenge the status quo of AI operations to prioritize equity, fairness and inclusivity for all.
