Academic Accommodations

Exam Accommodations and Make-Up Exams in IST

The Penn State Office of Student Disability Resources (SDR) provides reasonable accommodations and services to students with disabilities enrolled at the University Park campus. The College of IST offers exam accommodations testing in-house to help students succeed in our courses.

Exam Accommodations

The College of IST has a dedicated space, E160 Westgate Building, for students to take exams if they have 1.5x or 2x exam accommodations. Students with an accommodations letter through the Office of Student Disability Resources can sign up to take their quizzes and exams in E160 with a trained proctor monitoring the room. Students are responsible for scheduling their own exam accommodations via this form. Instructors will be contacted by IST-SDR-requests@psu.edu to confirm the exam/quiz time and request any additional information.

Make-Up Exams

Instructors or course assistants can also request a proctored make-up exam for students who miss exams/quizzes in their courses by emailing istfrontdesk@psu.edu.
