Office of Graduate Programs
The Office of Graduate Programs is responsible for the administration of the Ph.D. and M.S. programs offered by IST, both of which are research-based degrees.
Michael McNeese, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs and Professor of Information Sciences and Technology, oversees our office. Mary Beth Rosson, Director of Graduate Programs and Professor of Information Sciences and Technology, oversees the daily activity and chairs the Graduate Recruiting Committee and Graduate Advisory Committee. Madhu Reddy, Associate Professor of Information Sciences and Technology and Graduate Program Advisor, provides general support to graduate students, informing them of policies, procedures, and program issues. He also assists in the setting of the candidacy examination for the Ph.D. program. Sue Kelleher and Michelle Hill provide administrative support, which includes managing student records and assisting current and prospective students.
The IST Graduate Faculty Advisory Committee, consisting of the professor in charge, the graduate program advisor, and four College of IST faculty members, provides recommendations to the associate dean for research and education regarding policies, course offerings, the candidacy examination, and other key issues relating to the graduate programs in the college.
