Corporate Information Sessions

You are here

Corporate information sessions provide you with the opportunity to learn about a company’s corporate culture, work life, and job opportunities. These events are usually held weekday evenings and last approximately an hour.

To prepare for an information session, please consider the following:

  • Research the company via the Web and come up with questions to ask when you interact with corporate representatives.
  • Develop 2-3 good questions that you could ask during the Q and A portion of the information session. This shows the employer that you are interested and able to discuss in-depth issues and strategies.
  • Dress should be professional when attending the information sessions. Dress to make a great first impression – this could be a potential employer!
  • Bring several copies of your resume with you to distribute to company representatives. It is not uncommon for companies to “hold” a few interviewing slots for individuals they meet and are impressed with at the information session.

Upcoming corporate information sessions can be found through Compass and Bank of America Career Services' Nittany Lion Career Network system.

A job posting system that allows students to search for internships, co-ops, and full-time jobs as well as scheduling interviews, learning about events, and registration for events or field trips.
