Robert J. Bardusch
  • Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Valley National Bank

  • Advisory Board Member, College of Information Sciences and Technology, Penn State

Bob Bardusch is executive vice president and chief operating officer for Valley National Bank.

Prior to joining Valley National Bank, Bardusch spent two years with MVB Bank as the executive vice president, chief information officer, and head of technology and operations. Additionally, Bob amassed nearly two decades of leadership positions with PNC Financial Services Group, where he held diverse senior technology leadership positions in retail banking, commercial and institutional banking, marketing, operations, program management, process management, and strategic planning. He ultimately served as chief information officer for risk management, enterprise technology, and operations.

Bardusch credits his current business philosophy to the foundations formed in his early career in the commercial construction and engineering industry. Disciplines such as project management, cost estimation, and project engineering for such major projects as the Pittsburgh International Airport and Allegheny County Jail provided lessons that he still calls on today for guidance.

Outside of business affiliations, Bardusch is actively involved in Odyssey of the Mind as a regional board member and director. Odyssey of the Mind promotes a creative problem-solving competition that challenges elementary- through college-aged teams to think and act beyond obvious solutions.

A native of Bridgewater, New Jersey, Bardusch currently resides in State College, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two daughters. Bardusch holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Penn State, and an M.B.A. and a master's degree in information systems from the University of Pittsburgh.
