Re-enrollment allows former degree-seeking students to return to Penn State and continue their studies in the College of Information Sciences and Technology. All requests are reviewed by the college.

Students returning to the same campus and College of IST major are generally approved. Additional review is required for students returning on Academic Warning, Suspension, or Dismissal, or those requesting a change of campus or major.

For details on eligibility and how to apply, visit the Registrar’s website.

Approving Older Courses

Technology courses older than 10 years must be approved by the college before they can be applied toward degree requirements. For each course exceeding this age limit, students must submit a statement explaining how they have remained current with the material covered. These statements will be reviewed by the Program Coordinator. Students will be notified of the decision, and if approved, the course will be reapplied to the student’s audit. This policy applies to both Penn State and transfer courses.
