Social Informatics

Social Informatics is a research area that aims to improve our understanding about the social context of technological actions, and study the co-evolution of technologies, organizations, and society through field study and modeling. Research topics include inter-organization coordination for disaster relief, IT-enabled social innovations, IT adoption, IT Workforce, IT in work and life, global diffusion, virtual world and artificial environments, IT and powers of organization, mobile technologies for developing countries, and technology for social inclusion.
