What the College of Information Sciences and Technology Can Offer You

The College of Information Sciences and Technology has two unique four-year majors in information technology—programs that go beyond hardware and software to managing and problem solving with technology.

Our Information Sciences and Technology (IST) and Security and Risk Analysis (SRA) degree programs can help you make a difference in almost any field.

Is Our College Right for You?

Students in our college come from a variety of backgrounds, but there are some things successful students in our majors have in common.

Careers and Internships

Demand is strong for IST graduates. Our college has as a 94 percent cumulative placement rate for students graduating with bachelor’s degrees, with the starting salary for the Class of 2006 averaging $56,156. The forecasted job market for graduates in SRA—our new major—is equally promising.

We believe internships—a requirement of both the IST and SRA majors—are crucial to preparing students for their careers. Many of our students take more than one, finding that those experiences lead to even greater success in the job market.
