Masters of Professional Studies
The Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Information Sciences is a versatile program designed to provide information technology professionals with the skills to lead and problem solve in a rapidly-changing, global business environment.

The MPS program is highly flexible, and designed to meet the varying needs of students and organizations. With courses delivered through a blend of distance and online learning and face-to-face instruction, the program is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of adult learners. The MPS program requires a minimum of 33 credits, 24 of which must be earned through Penn State. Students can choose between two tracks of study:
  • Information Assurance and Decision Support (IADS) option
  • Software Development (SD) option
Through the MPS program, students can reap the benefits of a Penn State education combined with a flexible program structure and a course of study tailored to meet each individual's time constraints and career goals.
