Kruger Named Student Marshal for Fall Commencement

... Maxwell Kruger will serve as the student marshal for the College of IST's fall 2009 commencement exercises.
Maxwell Kruger has earned the special distinction of serving as the College of Information Sciences and Technology's student marshal for the fall 2009 commencement exercises at University Park, which will be held Dec. 19, in the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State's University Park campus.

Kruger, a Schreyer scholar, will graduate with bachelor of science degrees in information sciences and technology and business management. He is a member of Gamma Tau Phi (IST Honors Society) and received the President’s Freshman Award. He is currently working on an National Science Foundation fellowship with Sandeep Purao, associate professor of information sciences and technology.

He has worked as a photographer for The Daily Collegian, Penn State Athletics and U.S Presswire, and has completed internships at the Computer Sciences Corporation and McDonogh School. He is a member of the Computer Networking Club, Penn State Automotive Club, Radio Control Club, and Centre County Search and Rescue.

Kruger is the son of Sheldon and Lynne Kruger from Owings Mills, Md. He plans to pursue a career in consulting.
