Hershey Wins Vanguard Scholarship

Hannah Hershey, a senior majoring in information sciences and technology, was one of nine students nationwide to receive the Vanguard Women in Information Technology Scholarship Award.

Hershey is actively involved in the College of Information Sciences and Technology as a member of Women in Information Sciences and Technology, the IST Honors Society and a student tour guide for the college’s Open House. She completed internships with PNC Bank, AllCountyJobs.com and IQ Consulting. She will graduate in December and is currently pursuing full-time job opportunities in the Pittsburgh area.

The Vanguard Women in Information Technology Scholarship was established in 2006 to provide scholarships to female college students majoring in computer science, computer engineering, Web design, or related information technology disciplines with the goal of helping to increase the representation of women in IT fields.
