Steve Cassano: Last summer before graduation

Steve Cassano: Last summer before graduation

Hello everyone, I am Steve Cassano a rising senior in the college of IST majoring in SRA from Hatfield, PA. This summer is going to be a busy one for me. Being that it is the last real/full summer I will have in the foreseeable near future I have planned and booked it to the T. Weekend trips to the beach, visits to Penn State and some Penn State friends, along with a possible trip to Texas and Florida should have my weekends fairly busy.

Elizabeth Bartels: Making PSU connections in Northern Virginia

Elizabeth Bartels: Making PSU connections in Northern Virginia

As an IST/SRA major with a minor in geography, there are a lot of summer activity options available to me. The College of IST offers two job fairs (one in the fall, one in the spring), and those job fairs bring in companies from all over the United States. This summer I chose to intern in Washington, D.C.- the area is a pretty popular place for IST students to find internships and jobs, so I know about 40 people down here from within the college alone, and then a bunch more from Penn State as a whole. It's a nice to chance to do some real work, figure out what I want to do with my life, and still see some familiar faces.

This year I have been given the privilege of being executive chair of our organization and I can assure everyone that it is going to be THE club to be a part of!

Hoss Hewitt: Coaching, interning, and learning

This summer I am doing many things that interest me. First off, I am currently interning with a company doing cyber security related work. I am looking forward to building upon the foundation that IST has taught me and to apply these skills and my experience to real world situations that I will be facing.
