Apple has recognized Cole Camplese and Brian Smith as leading educators for their innovative use of technology in the classroom.
In its 10 years, the Apple Distinguished Educator program has recognized only about 400 educators worldwide as leaders in educational technology.
Camplese is the director of the IST Solutions Institute, which develops technology-assisted education and training programs for corporations and schools. A leader in the development of eLearning initiatives, the institute is the applied research and development arm of the School of Information Sciences and Technology (IST).
An associate professor, Smith holds a joint appointment with IST and the College of Education.
