IST2U, a student-driven Web site, will go live this month with the latest news on events, speakers, internships and job postings.
"We see this site as streamlining our communications to IST students about the opportunities they have," said Jan Mahar, assistant director, Business and Career Solutions.
The site was conceived after a survey and white paper by Dan Augustine (Class of '04) revealed that students felt inundated by e-mails, many of which were duplicates.
In response to that and suggestions from students, IST2U was born. While the main page's "Hot Spots" will change daily, standard featured pages are four links: Get Informed, Get Involved, Get an Internship, Get a Job.
Jeff Kimmel, a senior IST major, has been developing the site throughout the summer. Members of IST Student Government served on the committee that worked on the site.
