College of IST Ph.D. Program
The Ph.D. program in Information Sciences and Technology was developed for individuals seeking to become dynamic leaders in research and teaching and who are focused on the problems and challenges created by technology's implementation into nearly every facet of our lives.
The IST Ph.D. program is consists of four tracks, or areas of study:
- Computational informatics
- Human-computer interaction
- Social and enterprise informatics
- Security informatics
Each track includes faculty members who are leaders in their academic areas and have industry experience. Many of our faculty also hold joint appointments in other academic areas including psychology, business, geography, economics, communications, and computer science.
