NC²IF supports IST’s efforts in developing and delivering new curricula at the undergraduate and graduate level, which included the design and implementation of the IST Security and Risk Analysis(SRA) major.

- Developing graduate and senior-level undergraduate courses in multi-sensor data fusion, pattern recognition, distributed cognitive systems, sense-making decision and decision-support, knowledge-based operations, data interpretation methods, and simulation and modeling.
- Coordinating the development and delivery of a professional master’s degree program in Homeland Security (focus on data fusion, knowledge-based operations, modeling, and simulation).
- Leading the development and delivery of specialized two- to three-day short courses in areas such as data fusion, knowledge elicitation and cognitive modeling, network-centric architectures, and visualization and analytics.
- Utilizing Penn State’s expertise in conference planning and management to disseminate faculty research to national and international audiences through conferences, symposiums, and workshops.
