
Mass murders are people who have succumb to social pressures and lost touch with reality. And instead of seeking help from Psychologists; they resort to violence and kill as many people as they can. While, there are many theories as to why these Sociopaths do what they do, there are still no clear-cut answers. While there are hundred of these killings on record, I have selected three of the most notorious.

McVeigh is a former US Army soldier who fought in Desert Storm. He became angered at the Federal Government because the way authorities handled the botched Branch Davidian standoff in Waco, TX. He is responsible for masterminding the plot to blow up the federal building in Oklahoma City, OK.
McVeigh along with co-conspirator, Terry Nichols, detonated a large truck bomb outside the Morrow Federal Building in Oklahoma, City. The resulting explosion killed 168 men, women, and children.

A quiet, church-going, 44 year old "day trader," who became upset after loosing several hundred thousand dollars in bad investments. He retaliated by shooting-up two downtown Atlanta brokerage offices in July 1999.
Before his rampage, Mark O. Barton, killed his estranged wife and his two young children. Then, he proceeded to kill nine people and wound thirteen others, before turning the gun on himself.
He killed himself when police began to close in on him during a chase. Later, during the investigation, detectives found a note explaining why he had committed these crimes

Called "Crazy Pat" by those who knew him, he was a 44 year old, disgruntled postal worker, who, after being notified that he was going to lose his part-time postal job, opened fire in the Edmond, OK Post Office.
During the August 20th, 1986 shooting, Sherrill, killed fourteen fellow postal workers and wounded six others. Most of his victims were shot while they sorted mail and one other was killed in the parking lot as he tried to flee the carnage.
After the killing, he killed himself by turning one of his three guns on himself.
