Biography

Matt Schuyler, ’87, lives in McLean, Virginia and is chief human resources officer at Hilton Worldwide. Schuyler has more than 20 years of experience in corporate human resource management and is responsible for guiding the company’s global human resources strategy and execution. He is a member of Hilton’s executive committee and leads the human resources organization from the company's global headquarters in McLean, Virginia.

Prior to joining Hilton in July 2009, Schuyler was the chief human resources officer at Capital One Financial Corporation where he was responsible for guiding the Fortune 500 Company’s award-winning human resources strategy and execution, as well as overseeing Capital One's corporate real estate portfolio and corporate sustainability efforts.

Prior to Capital One, Schuyler held leadership positions with Cisco Systems, Inc., where he was a vice president of human resources, and with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a partner in the Global Human Resources group.

Schuyler holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and has a business administration degree from Penn State. He serves on the board of directors of Greater DC Cares and the Washington Humane Society.
