Corporate Information Sessions
Corporate information sessions provide you with the opportunity to learn
about a company’s corporate culture, work life, and job opportunities.
These events are usually held weekday evenings and last approximately an
hour.
To prepare for an information session, please consider the following:
- Research the company via the Web and come up with questions to ask when you interact with corporate representatives.
- Develop 2-3 good questions that you could ask during the Q and A portion of the information session. This shows the employer that you are interested and able to discuss in-depth issues and strategies.
- Dress should be professional when attending the information sessions. Dress to make a great first impression – this could be a potential employer!
- Bring several copies of your resume with you to distribute to
company representatives. It is not uncommon for companies to “hold” a
few interviewing slots for individuals they meet and are impressed with
at the information session.
